Design from the Andes

Digital Craft, Rooted in Place.

Our studio is embedded in Bogotá's creative ecosystem, a city where colonial history, vibrant street culture, and rapid technological adoption coexist. This proximity isn't a marketing angle; it's our research lab.

We translate the unspoken rhythms of local business needs—the urgency of a neighborhood restaurant's lunch rush, the trust required by a family-run law firm—into interfaces that feel both familiar and refined.

A side-note: Our first design artifact is never a wireframe. It's a 'context immersion' map, tracing client workflows against the specific digital behaviors of their primary audience, right here in Bogotá.

We believe the best digital products aren't imported blueprints. They are architectures grown from a deep understanding of their environment.

What We Build

A practice defined by strategic depth, not just aesthetic trends.

Strategic Web Design

We build websites as business tools. Layouts are tied to conversion goals: guiding users from discovery to action with minimal friction.

  • • Discovery workshops & audits
  • • Content-first wireframes
  • • Conversion rate review

UI/UX Systems

Design systems that scale. We create documented, tested component libraries built for future growth and team handoff.

  • • Component libraries
  • • Design system documentation
  • • Prototyping & testing

Brand Digitalization

Translating static identity into dynamic experience. We ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, from mobile to desktop.

  • • Visual language translation
  • • Interactive style guides
  • • Cross-platform audits

Case Study Dossier

Café Local: From Neighborhood Spot to Destination Brand

Client: Café Local · Role: Lead Design & Strategy · Timeline: 14 Weeks

The Challenge

Café Local, a beloved Bogotá institution for 15 years, needed to transition from a neighborhood anchor to a destination brand for specialty coffee enthusiasts. The existing website was a patchwork of legacy templates, burying their core value—artisan roasting—beneath confusing navigation.

"We have loyal regulars, but new customers can't find us or understand what makes our coffee different." — Café Local Owner

The Approach

We started by defining a strict constraint: the site had to be editable by a non-technical barista. This forced us away from complex animations and toward a robust, component-based system. We prioritized two user goals: learning about roast profiles and finding the physical shop.

A Key Trade-off

Initial concepts included a dynamic, scroll-based storytelling module for "bean origins." It was visually compelling but heavy on assets. We sacrificed this broad feature to ensure load times stayed under 2 seconds on 3G connections—a critical constraint for their mobile-first audience. The trade-off increased perceived stability over temporary novelty.

The Outcome

The new site acts as a central hub. Online orders increased by 40% in the first quarter post-launch, and event sign-ups tripled. Most importantly, the client's team manages all content updates themselves, reducing ongoing agency dependency.

Tech Stack

Headless CMS React Next.js Stripe
Roast Profile Selector UI

The final 'Roast Profile' selector. Originally a complex filter, simplified to three clear choices for rapid decision-making.

CONSTRAINT:

The client's team edits content. Therefore, no complex custom modules in the CMS. We built a rigid, reliable block system instead.

Our Method: Clarity Before Code

We believe robust design isn't about unlimited options; it's about making the right choices early. Our process is built on shared visibility—we use the same tools as our clients, so there are no surprises. This isn't a linear assembly line; it's a collaborative loop of discovery, definition, and execution. Every phase outputs a tangible artifact for review, ensuring alignment and preventing costly late-stage pivots.

A Curated Snapshot

1

Immersion & Mapping

We audit your digital assets and interview key stakeholders. Output: A documented 'User Journey Map' and a Strategic Brief, pinning business goals to user needs.

2

Architecture & Wireframes

Low-fidelity, interactive prototypes in Figma. This is our most critical phase for catching structural issues. We validate with real users from your audience pool.

3

Visual Systemization

We develop the visual language and build a component library. This ensures scalability and consistency. The output is a living Style Guide.

When to Call Us

We are a fit if your project meets most of these criteria:

  • You need a long-term digital partner, not a one-off vendor.
  • Your team values process transparency and detailed artifact delivery.
  • The project has defined constraints (timeline, budget, tech stack).
  • You are comfortable with collaborative, iterative feedback loops.

Begin the Conversation

Our process starts with understanding, not a sales pitch. We schedule a 30-minute discovery call to discuss your goals, audience, and constraints. If it's a fit, we'll follow with a preliminary scope and timeline within 48 hours.
